Exciting Opportunity: Neringa is Searching for a Property Manager

Our beloved property caretaker, Bennett Grout, will be retiring after many years as Neringa’s caretaker after next summer’s camping season. Bennett will be passing the torch to the next generation and moving out of the property his family has lived in for several decades. As someone who helped build the Main Lodge building (Sale) in the 1980’s and who has a wealth of knowledge about Neringa, he will be leaving very big shoes to fill!

Have you ever wanted to live at Neringa? We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Property Manager to live on-site and oversee the maintenance, safety and care of our year-round facilities and grounds. This is a unique opportunity for someone who values rural living, independence, and being a part of a close-knit, purpose driven community. Flexibility and a sense of humor are a plus!

Speaking of flexibility, please reach out even if this exact role does not seem like a perfect fit, as we are open to speaking with anyone who might be interested in living at Neringa.

Year-Round Property Maintenance: Maintain buildings, grounds, trails, and waterfront; perform seasonal tasks like mowing, snow monitoring, and storm repairs.

Safety & Security Oversight: Ensure the safety of facilities, monitor utility systems, and coordinate with state inspectors and emergency protocols.

Equipment & Repairs Management: Oversee use and upkeep of tools, machinery, and camp systems; perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance.

Communication & Coordination: Report to and consult with camp management, assist with future construction planning, and handle local building permits.

Off-Season Support: Greet visitors, inspect buildings post-use, manage access to utilities, and meet with vendors, inspectors, and contractors.
