Iškyla Walk-a-thon Fundraiser
On October 8-10, 2010 the annual walk-a-thon fundraiser will take place against a backdrop of Vermont foliage. We invite ALL to a joyous coming together of old and new friends to support Neringa, to eat well, and to dance the night away to the sounds of the Small Farm Animals. As was the case last year, Neringa cannot accept minors who will not be accompanied by their own parents, and partcipants may be asked to show identification to substantiate age. Please send in your registration by SEPTEMBER 30. All information is in the documents below:

Former Neringa campers and counselors have come together at Neringa for the annual work weekend (late May/early June), for folk culture weekends, for reunions on Columbus Day weekend, for Christmas celebrations in December, and even to ring in the year 2000! Alumni usually lead or help facilitate these events with the help of the directors.

Fans of Neringa have also hosted benefit events in their home cities, far beyond the borders of Neringa. Neringa's newsletter Skambutis has been published in the past largely to the credit of volunteers. Currently we have a particular need for help in the following areas: Organizing "Iškyla" in October, publishing the Skambutis newsletter, writing articles about Neringa for the press, and attracting off-season retreat groups to Neringa. If you are interested in leading or helping organize any of these activities or if you have suggestions, please contact the camp director Regina Kulbis regina@neringa.org.

Neringa also does her best to maintain contact with all of her friends. If you have recently moved or changed your email address, please send the assistant director Dainora Kupcinskaite dainora@neringa.org your updated information.

Another way to keep in touch with Neringa is by receiving email announcements from news@neringa.org. As always, we will not divulge your email address, only Neringa staff members will send messages to the list, and we will try to minimize clutter in your lives by keeping the announcements few and succinct. To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change your setting for the maillist, you can visit http://lists.neringa.org/mailman/listinfo/news. If you have stringent spam settings, don't forget to add "news@neringa.org" to your contact lists.
